Our DNA stems from entrepreneurial founding Directors who have assembled a team of experienced geoscientists, 3D data technicians, and project managers.

Rob Bills  | Managing Director

Rob is an experienced Managing Director with a demonstrated track record of generating and delivering mineral discoveries harnessing cutting edge technologies and mineral system exploration models. Rob has a strong business development acumen (attracted >$100m in JV + placement funding) with professional skills in minerals discovery, downstream processing, management and geology.

Jan Ostby  (MSc, DBM)  | Director

Jan is the founder of the Longreach Capital Investment Group and the Director of the Longreach Mineral Exploration. He has over 38 years’ experience in executive management and business development roles in the energy sector. He is an experienced oil and gas explorer across multiple disciplines, including new ventures, prospect maturation, drilling and farmouts with leading industry peers. Previous roles include various marketing and management positions with Fugro Geoteam, PGS NOPEC Australia Pty Ltd and Fugro Multi Client Services.
Jan’s qualifications include a Master in Civil Engineering and Geophysics and a Bachelor in International Marketing and Business Management from the Norwegian School of Trade and Export, Oslo.
Profile Odd Larsen BW

Odd Larsen  (BSc, MSc)  | Director

Odd is the founder of the Longreach Capital Investment Group and Director of Longreach Mineral Exploration. Odd has held various owner/management positions, over several decades, in the resources sector and has more recently been involved in improving the company’s performance and defining its strategic goals. As a Director of Longreach Capital, Odd has liaised with governments, business partners and stakeholders and has been instrumental in arranging for new projects in various countries located in Europe, Asia, and South America. Odd is holds degrees in Geology from the University of Oslo (Bachelor Degree) and the University of Tromsoe (Masters Degree).
Profile Peter Frikken BW

Peter Frikken  (BSc Hons, PhD)  | Technical / Senior Generative Geologist

Peter joined Longreach Mineral Exploration in 2021 to oversee existing projects and generate new projects Australia-wide. He brings over 20 years of industry knowledge and mineral system understanding to the team. His expertise spans regional to deposit-scale knowledge of a variety of metalliferous deposit-types. His experience draws from various roles in the minerals industry throughout Chile, Australia, Africa and Central Asia. Peter has previously held positions as underground mine geologist, senior exploration geologist and exploration manager roles.
He earned a PhD in 2003 from CODES (UTAS) on the genesis of the Rio Blanco-Los Bronces breccia-related porphyry copper deposit, Chile.
Profile Helen Anderson BW

Helen Anderson  (BSc Hons, MSTC)  | Technical / Geophysical Specialist

Helen has over 25 years of professional experience working in the mineral and petroleum sectors. She has previously worked as a mine geologist and international project generation for Newmont Australia and Normandy Mining. She is a specialist in the acquisition and interpretation of non-seismic data, in particular the geological interpretation of magnetic, electromagnetic and gravity data.
Her qualifications include a Bachelor in Geology and Geophysics (Honours), a Master in Science and Master in Technology Commercialisation.
Profile Dino Loschi BW

Dino Loschi  (BSc)  | Geoscientist

Dino is a highly experienced geoscientist with over 30 years of experience in the resource sector. He commenced his geoscience career in the mineral industry as an exploration geologist and subsequently joined the petroleum sector and for over 30 years has worked on numerous domestic and international geoscience projects. He spent over 15 years of his career as a successful independent consultant geoscientist. Clients and employers have included large multinational companies, national oil companies to small organizations and projects range in scale from regional evaluations to prospect level assessments to asset generation.
Dino is an expert in dealing most types of geoscientific data and assessing data quality as well as the loading and management of these data to maintain the highest standards/validation when loaded into the associated interpretation and GIS systems. He has a BSc in Geology from Macquarie University and a Graduate Diploma in Geophysics Curtin University.

Lana Volkova  (MEng, BEng, BA)  | Project and Environmental Manager

Lana has over 12 years of professional experience in the oil and gas sector in Australia. In 2018 Lana was appointed as a project manager for mineral exploration projects. She is responsible for overall project management including operations, stakeholder consultation, HSEQ management systems, compliance, reporting and transitional planning for new projects.
Her qualifications include a Master of Engineering (Environment), a Bachelor in Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology, and a Bachelor in Economics.

Lorraine O’Sullivan  | Permit Administrator

Lorraine is responsible for the company permit portfolio management, liaison with the government and consultation with stakeholders to ensure legislative requirements and compliance are maintained.
